Vascular Aging and Brain Health laboratory

Location: University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Focus: Vascular health in astronauts; Effects of vascular aging on brain blood flow

Group Leader: Prof. Richard Hughson

Group Members:
Dr. Andrew Robertson, Research Assistant Professor
Dr. Danielle Greaves, Space Research Manager

Major Projects: Prof. Richard Hughson is Principal Investigator of 6 projects on the International Space Station. The laboratory is also involved in numerous head-down bed rest and parabolic flights projects. Besides this, thanks to its location in a long-term care and retirement village, studies are also conducted on older adults.
